Resident Evil 2 is set to release January 25th, 2019 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Pure Arts has activated the pre-orders for this life-sized bust of the Licker from the Resident Evil 2 remake, and it’s glorious.
Yes, you’ll be able to find loads of firepower throughout the game but you won’t have much ammo at all (just like the original Resident Evil games). Some of you may be worried that this gameplay video shows off too many guns and it will eventually turn into a straightforward action game. If you do this, you’ll have to retrieve your knife from that zombie. There is a catch to this mechanic though. If you get grabbed by a zombie, you can use your knife to escape without taking any damage. Shooting will not be as easy as previous action-packed Resident Evil titles as you will actually have to stand still and line up your shot to consistently hit your target. You will be able to shoot off limbs of zombies and can even see where you hit the undead. This is how Capcom intends to draw out some suspense and horror throughout the course of the game.Īnother thing you may have noticed is when Claire was shooting zombies in the morgue. Personally, the Licker’s introduction in the original Resident Evil 2 is one of my favorite moments in video game history and kept me awake for weeks as a kid.Īs for the gameplay, you probably noticed that there was a huge emphasis on using a flashlight and fighting in enclosed spaces.
It was important for Capcom to get the Licker design right and keep it as one of the most horrifying monsters in the series.
